# Data Retention Policy

This policy describes how Arcee retains Inputs and Outputs, as defined in our Terms of Service, when you use our inference API and web application. It should be read together with our [Privacy Policy](https://www.arcee.ai/privacy-policy) and [Terms of Service](https://www.arcee.ai/terms-of-service).

**Inference API.** Arcee’s inference API provides zero data retention (ZDR) by default. We process Inputs and Outputs to fulfill your request and do not log or retain them in persistent storage after processing is complete.

**Web application.** We retain conversation data when you use the Arcee web application to provide you with a consistent product experience. The inference API’s zero data retention policy does not apply to the web application.
